Guidelines for speakers

The lecture halls and seminar rooms have up-to-date audiovisual equipment. Your presentation can be given as a PowerPoint presentation. Please let us know if you have any special requirements regarding AV equipment (ngm04@ruc.dk).

Downloading your presentation
Please bring your presentation on a USB stick to the lecture hall / seminar room, where your presentation takes place during a coffee or lunch break before your presentation.

There will be a help desk placed centrally at the institute with assistants to help you to download your presentation on the computer.

Guidelines for the presentation
- The duration of the presentation is 20 minutes. This includes discussion.

- Bring your presentation as a PowerPoint file (preferably PC Windows version) on your USB-stick.

- We do not suggest using your own laptop in the lecture hall.

Please note that all presentations are SINGLE slide, double projection is NOT possible.

Guidelines for the poster session

- Posters must be fixed to the boards with pins.

- Pins will be available at the poster area.

- We kindly ask you to be present by your poster during the poster session.

Arrival to Roskilde University

Information about Denmark

In Denmark we use the Danish Krone, DKK, and not Euros. There is an ATM at the airport and at Roskilde University.

You guess that you will need some Danish Kroner, eg. to pay for your drinks around lunch time and the like.

Transportation

The easiest way to get to Roskilde University with public transportation is by train. The train station is called Trekroner, and timetables is available below.

TIMETABLES:

From Copenhagen Central Station to Trekroner (duration 20 minutes):
- in minute 07, 23, 37, 53 each hour

From Trekroner to Copenhagen Central Station (duration 20 minutes):
- in minute 06, 21, 36, 51 each hour

From Roskilde to Copenhagen Central Station (duration 25 minutes):
- during daytime, and until 24:00, it runs very often each hour
- after conference banquet: 00:08, 00:42, 00:51, 01:02, 01:10 and the last is 02:15

Bus transportation (conference hotels)

There will be bus transportation arranged from the three conference hotels, and besides that transportation for all guest from RUC to the conference banquet thursday and from RUC to Copenhagen Central Station and Copenhagen Airport friday, when the conference ends.

FOR MUSICON:

Buses departs from the 3 conference hotels at 18.30 / 6.30 pm.

Buses departs from Roskilde Station at 18.40 / 6.40 pm.

The buses go back to the station and the hotels again at 21.30 / 9.30 pm.


FOR THE CONFERENCE:

Each morning

Busses departs:
Scandic 8:15 and Prindsen 8:15
Danhostel 8:30
Arrives at RUC 8:45

Each afternoon

Busses departs when the programme ends and go to Danhostel first, and then to Prindsen and Scandic

Thursday - conference dinner

Busses departs:
To Prindsen for the conference dinner at 18:40 - for guest who does not stay at one of the conference hotels

To hotels at 18:00
One bus goes to Scandic and then Prindsen, and one bus to Danhostel and then Prindsen. Busses will pick up guest at Danhostel and Scandic again at 18:45 and take then to Prindsen for the conference dinner.

Busses departes again at 01:00 from Prindsen – one goes to Danhostel and Roskilde Station, and the other goes to Scandic and the station

Friday

Busses departs when the conference ends:

To the Airport and Copenhagen Central Station at 13:45 – arrives approx. 14:30

To Roskilde Station at 13:45
