This workshop will provide an introduction to the use of participatory video (PV) in international development. PV can be defined as film-making with people (instead of about them), where citizens create and use their own films in order to understand and act on the issues that concern them. Drawing on our own experience of working with communities in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America, we offer an opportunity to experience and reflect on the use of PV in practice through hands-on activities, examples and discussion.

NGM abstracts used for publishing fraud |
|
First of all, thanks to all of you for your contributions to the Nordic Geographers Meeting in May 2011. Unfortunately, we need to make all of you aware of that right now more participants are receiving emails from a journal called 'Sociology Study', wherein it is claimed that they would like to publish the papers presented at NGM. Unfortunately, this is fraud and an attempt to get money, and we've heard from people from Finland, Norway and here at Roskilde University that they have been contacted. Below you can see more, and we urge you not to contact them. We are very sorry about this. |
