Roskilde University may be somewhat difficult to find and it is not always easy to find your way around campus. Below we provide you with some hopefully useful directions on how to get to RU and where to go when you get there.


How to get there ?

You wil need to register your email first and then use the link in the email sent to you afterwards to register for the minibus shuttle.

PLEASE NOTE: you can only choose one of the possible departures for each time slot.

We will try our best to accomodate your wishes, however, the registration will be on a first come first served basis and changes may occur. We will of course notify you if we cannot provide you with the precise hours specified.

Where to go?

The conference dinners will take place in buildings 01. Registration on Thursday will be in 01 as well.

Below you see the different options for accomodation in Roskilde, near RUC. The conference committee has decided not to make pre-arrangements as it will often be cheaper to make arrangements on an individual basis.

A number of options are available in Roskilde:


Roskilde Vandrehjem ( - This is a hostel and the rooms here are primarily for those conference participants who wants to stay more than one person in each room and the comfort is more modest. Can accomodate from 1 to 6 persons pr. room. Breakfast is not included, but can be acquired for 7 € pr. day. It is located in the center of Roskilde.

Scandic - ( - This hotel is located 2 km from the city center of Roskilde. You will find modern facilities such as fitness area and sauna at the hotel. Breakfast is included.

Comwell ( - This hotel is located in beautiful surroundings with a view to the Roskilde Bay, but at the same time a little bit out of Roskilde City.

Besides that there is the option of staying in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. The regional trains run 4 times an hour between Copenhagen and Roskilde University, and the train ride takes app. 25 minutes. From the trainstation, Trekroner, to Roskilde University there is a 10 minutes walk to reach the location of the conference.
